A screening test is mandatory for candidates at the final stage of their primary school education. This test is conducted by the Exams Section within the Department of Curriculum Development and Evaluation of the Ministry of Education, Ondo State, Nigeria.

All Primary Six pupils must take this test to secure placement into Ibadan Grammar School or any Ondo State public junior secondary school of their choice. The examination evaluates proficiency in English and Mathematics, which are foundational subjects.
